terms of service

By downloading the bonnee app and using bonnee you are in agreement of the following terms of service. These terms of service are set up to protect bonnee users and to build the community based on trust.

Your data: The personal information collected from you in the sign up process is so that we can contact you in relation to the bonnee service and the bonnee community. In the event that you are swapping a piece we may share information with the swiper in order to arrange the transaction.

Definition of swapper: A swapper is someone who permanently swaps an item with the receiver of the swap (swiper).

Definition of swiper: A swiper is someone who receives a permanent swap from the sender (swapper).

Definition of credit: A credit is received when a user (swapper) posts a piece on the bonnee app.  The user (swapper) may use the credit to permanently select one item (swipe).  One item posted for swap equals one credit for swipe.

swapper: When you swap a piece permanently, you agree that the piece is as described in the upload and you are legally able to offer this piece to swap.  When you post a piece for swap, accurately describe your piece and note any flaws or areas of slight damage. 

swiper: Responsible to ensure the piece received is as described by the swapper and if not to report this to bonnee at here4you@bonnee.co.

credit: For indicative purposes only in exchange for a piece listed on the app available for swap. Cannot be exchanged for money.

1) Access to personal contact details

By signing up to bonnee, permission is given to bonnee to contact me in relation to bonnee services using the personal details that I have shared.

I acknowledge that I can remove my data and information from the bonnee platform at any time by contacting myprivacy@bonnee.co and requesting this, and that bonnee can provide me with all of my recorded data within 30 days of a request for access to my data.  I acknowledge that I can delete my account from bonnee at any time and the app from my device.

2) Personal responsibility on the platform

These terms of service outline an agreement between swapper and swiper, bonnee is not a party to the agreement when swapping clothes and the swapper/swiper are solely responsible for any loss or damage done to any item.

3) Platform usage and safety

I acknowledge that when uploading images and information to my public profile that these images and information are available on the world wide web. Before uploading anything please consider what kind of images and information you would like to share.

I acknowledge that if I feel unsafe or intimidated on the bonnee platform that I will report this immediately to the bonnee team.

4) Code of conduct

I agree that as a member of the bonnee community I will respect all members on the platform and will not take part in any activity that bullies another member in any way.

I acknowledge that if there are accusations of bullying made against me that my account will be suspended and the matter may be reported to the police.

I acknowledge if it is found that I have used bonnee as a platform to bully another member that I will be immediately removed from the platform.

5) Tracking and optimization

By signing up to bonnee, permission is given to bonnee to use third party platforms to track behavior and  conversions on the platform and optimize our platform processes.

Terms of service when swapping / swiping:

1. bonnee’s role in agreement:

bonnee is a service which facilitates swapping between users, bonnee is therefore not responsible for any loss or damage done to any item.  bonnee is not a party to the contract of agreement.

2. swapper responsibilities

(i) Images and description provided are a true reflection of the condition of the item(s) being shared on the bonnee platform.

(ii) The item(s) can be legally offered to swap.

(iii) If the item(s) is found to be incorrectly described or not to guidelines, the cost of returning the item from the swiper may fall on the swapper.

3. swiper responsibilities 

(i) If the piece(s) is not as described upon exchange, bonnee must be contacted and made aware of the issue within 14 days. The swiper must prove the piece(s) is not as described, providing images where necessary to bonnee. 

(ii) If it is the case that the claim is correct, the swiper will be reimbursed with the equivalent swipe credit and costs associated with the swipe.  The swapper will be deducted one swipe credit.

4. credits

(i) Credits are for indicative purposes only and cannot be exchanged for money. 

(ii) bonnee reserves the right not to award credits for items even if initially approved. 

(iii) bonnee has the authority to cancel credits for any reason effective upon sending notice to you at the email address you provide when registering or such other email address as you may later provide to us.

(iiii) If an item is initially approved and awarded a credit but then subsequently removed from the bonnee app by the swapper, the swapper will be deducted the credit.

(v) If your bonnee account or membership is terminated, you are not entitled to any credits incurred.
